StickyUps – Do’s and Don’ts
In order to make your StickyUps experience a happy one, here’s some tips:
DO
Plan your layout. Although you can easily remove StickyUps – you can’t re-use them. To avoid making mistakes, test your layout by using masking tape to stick the (unpeeled) graphics on your surface first.
Use a hairdryer to remove. Removing is as easy as applying and the best tip is to use a hairdryer on a low setting to soften the vinyl first – you then simply loosen one corner of the sticker with your finger nail, and peel the graphic off slowly.
Experiment! – The beauty of StickyUps is that they are removable, so you can change the look of your room without major upheaval or re-decoration – and as often as you want!
Customise – You can make your décor even more personal by customizing your StickyUps. Why not make your own cut outs, stick glitter or materials on them, draw on them, layer different designs…. Or anything else you can think of!
DON’T
Select the wrong surface – StickyUps should only be used on smooth surfaces. Although you may use them on any surface - They have only been designed to be removable from ‘even’ surfaces.
Use on ‘just painted’ walls. Please allow time for your painted walls to fully dry before using StickyUps (2-3 weeks). If applied before the paint is fully dry, the adhesive from the graphic could bond more strongly to the paint, potentially causing some paint to come off when decals are removed.
Usually StickyUps just peel off with no problems and no damage to surfaces. However, the condition of some painted surfaces and the location of your StickyUps can mean that some paint flecks are also removed. Depending on a combination of these factors, minor paint touch-ups could be required after removal. StickyUps is not liable for possible damage to surfaces.
Worry! – As long as you follow the instructions properly, you’ll have beautiful walls before you know it! Please see ‘How to Apply/Remove’ for a step by step guide to application, and our ‘FAQs’ section for more info on StickyUps.
