Phoenix Wright: Ace Attorney – Dual Destinies launched on Nintendo 3DS in 2013; seeing not only Phoenix Wright return to the court room, but Apollo Justice, and new lawyer Athena Cykes.
While Phoenix and Apollo bring their Psyche Lock and Perceive mechanics to the investigations and court, Athena can detect a witness’ emotions during their testimony, explaining how they really felt at the time.?As the “dark age of the law” reigns, the gang seek to bring justice to their clients, and restore faith in the law.
Phoenix Wright: Ace Attorney ? Spirit of Justice?launched on Nintendo 3DS in 2016. Phoenix travels to the nation of Khura’in to aid her spirit medium friend Maya Fey. However, he soon learns the nation passed a law where a defense attorney will suffer the same punishment as their client if they are found guilty.
Thanks to the Divination Séance supposedly letting the court see a victim’s last moments; nearly all trials have had a guilty verdict, and many defense attorneys executed. Despite this, Phoenix seeks to turn around the fate of his clients, and ultimately the nation, while Apollo and Athena deal with international prosecutor Nahyuta Sahdmadhi; a monk of Khura’in who considers the work of a defense attorney heretical.
Finally, Ghost Trick: Phantom Detective?launched in 2011 on the Nintendo DS. Players control Sissel, a recently deceased man who can go back in time to a few moments before another’s death. During this time, he can manipulate the environment to create Rube Goldeberg style reactions to save the lives of his new found friends.
To recover his memories, and protect his only lead- a detective named Lynne- from assassins, Sissel only has until sunrise to get to the bottom of his own murder mystery.
Each game features the first chapter (or two in the face of?Ghost Trick), with subsequent chapters being bought separately. The whole game may be bought at a bundle price ($14.99 USD for the Ace Attorney games, and $9.99 USD for Ghost Trick).
